Marilynn Larkin

Marilynn Larkin is an award-winning health and medical writer/editor who has been developing content for consumer, medical and scientific audiences for more than 25 years.  Her articles have appeared in major women’s magazines including Vogue, Woman’s Day and Woman’s World and in general-interest publications such as Consumer Reports. She is also the author of five consumer health books.

On the medical/science side, Ms. Larkin was a contributing editor to The Lancet, a regular contributor to the New York Academy of Sciences’ publications, an editor and feature writer for the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening and a reporter for Reuters Health’s professional newsfeed.

She also helped launch and served as editor of Caring for the Ages, an official publication of the American Medical Directors Association, and is a member of the content-development team for the International Council on Active Aging and its Changing the Way We Age campaign.

In her work for the Institute for Preventive Foot Health and Thorlo, Ms. Larkin brings all her content-development skills along with a passion for informing the medical community and the general public about the importance of feet as the mainstay of mobility and function. She knows this firsthand from her work as an ACE-certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and from her avocations, dancing and performing.
