A firm swelling on the top of my foot between my big toe and second joints. Is this bursitis and what is the treatment? There is little consensus.

He or she can examine you, determine what is happening, and whether or not your condition truly is bursitis. If you check our article on bursitis you will find there are a number of places in the feet where it tends to happen, several of which are on top near the joints of the toes. It could be that you have bursitis, but again, it is best to consult a medical professional to get a diagnosis and recommended course of treatment.
