Does scoliosis contribute to plantar fasciitis?

Your best bet is to consult your daughter’s primary care physician or a foot health professional who can help you determine if there is a direct (or indirect) relationship between the two conditions, and recommend appropriate treatment. We are not aware of any clinical research that establishes a direct link between scoliosis and plantar fasciitis. We did, however, find an article in the publication Podiatry Today (http://www.podiatrytoday.com/article/1035) that refers to plantar fasciitis and scoliosis associated with leg length discrepancy (a condition in which one leg is longer than the other).
