Are there any exercises I can do to alleviate the pain of heel bursitis?

Thank you for contacting us. IPFH does not diagnose or recommend treatments. If you have not already seen a physician, we recommend that you consult either your primary care physician or a foot health professional at your earliest convenience. He or she can recommend treatment options for you. These options may include physical therapy and exercises to help the area where the bursitis is located. The most common bursitis in the heel is retrocalcaneal bursitis, and since it can sometimes be associated with Achilles tendon issues (and in some cases even mistaken for Achilles tendinitis), it is important that you undertake any exercises or therapy under the guidance of a medical professional. You can learn more about bursitis here. We hope you will consult a medical professional, and will soon be pain free.
