I have a very small black dot on the exterior of the right foot about an inch above the right tendon. It swells and hurts almost always but always returns. Painful when walking.

Thank you for contacting us. IPFH cannot diagnose or recommend treatments on line. Your best course of action is to consult your primary care doctor or a foot health specialist in order to identify the cause of this condition. Because it pains you when you walk, we would recommend that you consult a medical professional at your earliest opportunity. With a proper diagnosis, your doctor can recommend appropriate treatment.  We hope you will do this, and will soon be rid of your pain.
