No diabetic indications in left foot, BUT increased numbness in big toe: Abnormal whitish color -- a kind of blister, but several skin layers deep. It is slow to heal after spot opened and disinfected - if circulation the problem. What is likelihood with numbness increasing in adjacent fat pad as well as dorsal area?

Thank you for contacting us. IPFH does not diagnose or offer medical advice on line. Numbness in the feet can be caused by issues other than diabetes, but the facts that your toe has been slow to heal and that you are experiencing increasing numbness tell us that you should consult a medical professional at your earliest opportunity. Your primary care physician, or a foot health professional can help determine what is happening with your toe and can make treatment recommendations to address the condition. We hope you will do this soon, and that your toe and foot will very quickly be back to normal.
