The bottoms of both my feet are quite painful. I started using my custom orthotics again but wore them all day everyday for the past 5 days. Still no relief. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes but corrected that with my diet? What should I do?

Thank you for contacting IPFH. We do not diagnose conditions or recommend medical treatments. Since you mention custom orthotics, the best thing for you to do would be to contact the foot health professional who prescribed those orthotics, and convey to him or her that you are having pain. We gather that the pain began while you were not using the orthotics, but did not subside when you started wearing them again. So that pain may or may not be related to the orthotics themselves. Thus, it is important to consult a medical professional who is familiar with your case so that it can be determined what is causing the pain and if there is additional or alternative treatment that would be recommended. We hope you will consult your foot health provider and pursue a remedy for this pain. We wish you a quick resolution and a full recovery.
