Why are my 8-year-old's feet cold all the time?

There are a number of foot conditions that can cause the feet to feel cold (see our foot conditions page on cold feet). It is not normal for an 8-year old child's feet to be cold all of the time, and there are a number of conditions that might produce this symptom, so your best course of action would be to consult his or her regular pediatician and see if the cause can be determined. Once that has been done, then the physician can recommend the best approach to deal with the condition. Another option would be for you to take him or her to a foot health professional, who also could help determine what is going on and recommend treatments. We hope you will do this soon.
