My daughter stepped on glass earlier, the cut is on the arch of her foot, it's about an inch in length, but doesn't look too deep. The skin still lies flat with the wound, and we got the bleeding to stop immediately. She would not go to the ER but I just wanted to make sure I shouldn't still take her tomorrow.

To be on the safe side, we would recommend that the cut be examined by the family doctor, or alternatively, someone at an urgent care facility. Even though it may not look too deep, the cut is in an area of the foot that has less protection and is more vulnerable. Also, it is important that she protect the cut from possible infection, and a physician or physician’s assistant can provide treatment for that as well. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, so we hope your daughter will visit a medical professional, and will be completely healed very soon.
