Ask The Experts

I get stabbing shock wave pains from the middle of the top of my foot to my toes. It happens when I walk at times and when I lay down to sleep.

Thank you for contacting us. IPFH does not diagnose or recommend treatments on line.  Because this pain is affecting both your mobility and your sleep cycle, we would urge you to consult your primary care physician or a foot health professional. The pain that you describe "stabbing," and coming in waves, is not normal, and so it is important for you to see a medical professional. He or she can help determine what is causing the pain, and recommend any necessary treatments to address it. We hope you will do this and that your feet will soon be feeling better.
