Ask The Experts

Hi, can Morton's neuroma cause pain in the lower leg right above ankle? I'm not sure I have this but it does feel like my sock is bunched up.

Thank you for contacting IPFH. We do not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice on line. Your best bet is to contact a foot care professional, who can examine you and determine whether or not you have Morton's neruoma. The diagnosis for this condition is simple for a medical professional, as there usually are a few very telling symptoms that are specific to the condition. It would be somewhat unusual if this condition were causing the pain in your leg above the ankle, but because Morton's neuroma is a condition that affects the nerves, it's not beyond the realm of possibility. We hope you will contact a foot health professional at your earliest opportunity, and that your condition will very quickly be resolved.
