My second toe feels as if there is something between it and the third toe, and the second toe feels like it is being pushed into the first toe. What can this be?

However, if there is pain, and/or if the sensation is unpleasant or affects your mobility in any way, you should consult your primary care physician or a foot health professional. He or she can diagnose you and recommend any treatments that might be appropriate. A rather common condition called Morton's neuroma, a benign enlargement of part of a nerve just below the base of the toes (between the metatarsal bones), could be producing this sensation. This condition usually occurs between the third and fourth toes, but it may also occur between the second and third toes. It is usually accommpanied by pain, which can be severe. Whatever the condition, it is best that you get it properly diagnosed by a medical professional. We hope you will do that, and will soon be back to normal.
