Ask The Experts

I'm diabetic and my right baby toe is aching.

Thank you for contacting IPFH. We do not diagnose conditions or recommend treatments on line. We would urge you to consult your primary care physician or a foot health professional. Because you have diabetes, you do not want to take any chances with any type of foot condition, since even small, seemingly insignificant issues can escalate quickly. You should see a physician regularly for examinations, and we strongly recommend that you also make regular visits to a foot health professional such as a DPM (doctor of podiatric medicine, or podiatrist) and do regular foot self-care. You can learn more about this by reading our article entitled "Daily Foot Care for People with Diabetes." We hope you will consult a medical professional soon, and that you will very quickly be rid of the pain in your toe.
