Heel Spurs and Bone Spurs

Symptoms of Heel Spurs and Bone Spurs

Heel spurs usually do not produce pain, although pain may be associated with inflammation in the tissue, joints (arthritis) or in the plantar fascia. Bone spurs in other areas of the foot, especially on the top (dorsal surface), often do produce pain. To  confirm the presence of heel spurs or bone spurs, your doctor may have to take x-rays or other imaging tests.
