Symptoms of Posterior Tibial Tendinitis

Symptoms of  posterior tibial tendinitis include the following:

  • Pain or tenderness on the medial side (inside) of the ankle and mid-foot.
  • Pain may initially occur only during activity, but may progress so that it is constant even without activity.
  • Swelling and/or redness in the ankle area, particularly on the medial side.
  • Pain that intensifies with flexion or rotation of ankle.
