A small blister popped up on my right small toe. This grew to the top of my foot. Today I discovered a small one on my right small toe. Is this due to my diabetes? I am insulin dependent.

Thank you for contacting us. IPFH does not diagnose conditions or recommend treatment. Since you have diabetes, we strongly urge you to get your feet checked by a medical professional as soon as you can. This could be your primary care physician or a foot health professional. He or she can determine the nature of the blisters and advise you on what to do to treat them. We do not want to alarm you, but you should visit a medical professional immediately because your condition puts you at risk of ulceration. You can learn more about daily foot care for people with diabetes at this page on our web site. Please consult a medical professional at your earliest opportunity. We wish you the best.
